Troopers: Fayetteville Man Driving Drugged Hit Woman In Central Square

Central Square, N.Y. - A Fayetteville man is being accused of drugged driving when he passed out at the wheel and slammed into a pedestrian in Central Square.

State Police say Richard Kim was driving on East Avenue in the village of Central Square at 6:30 p.m. Monday when he hit a 22-year-old woman walking along the road. Kim told Troopers "he passed out." She was treated at Upstate Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

They investigated and found that he was driving with his ability impaired by drugs. They charged him with also with felony vehicular assault and unlawful marijuana possession.

He's been arraigned and is being held at the Oswego County jail on bail. He will be back in Central Square Village Court on Tuesday.
