Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse University has announced a new "clear bag" policy at the Carrier Dome.
The policy will go into effect during the 2018 Football season. This policy limits the type and size of bags allowed into the Dome. They will start with what is called an educational period with the first football game on Sept. 8.
The Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for all Syracuse University Athletics events and specified other special events at the Carrier Dome beginning Oct. 6, 2018.
These bags are allowed.
- Clear plastic totes (Does not exceed 12"x 6"x 12")
- Gallon sized re-sealable storage bags
- Small purses or clutches (Does not exceed 6.5" x 4.5")
- Diaper bags (must be accompanied by a child.)
Also S.U. announced that they will be installing new walk through metal detectors as well. People will be asked to present cell phones, cameras and other large metal objects to Dome Staff as they approach the front of the line.
Attendees will not need to remove keys, loose change, wallet, jackets or belts.
