Police Arrest Man On Knife Attack Involving Infant

Syracuse police arrest a man yesterday who injured an infant while trying to stab someone inside a car.

Officers sent to the 200 block of Madison Street at 10am learned from the child's grandmother that Kevin Davis tried to reach inside the car that she and the child were in to attack her boyfriend.  Davis began swinging a knife at the boyfriend, which is when the one-year-old got a small cut on his face.  He was treated at the hospital.  Officers tracked down Davis and arrested him in possession of a folding knife.  He's facing assault and multiple other charges.

Davis is charged with second degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child.  He is in custody pending arraignment.
