Fire Investigators Still Search For Cause In Tragic Rome Fire

Rome, N.Y. - Fire Investigators in Oneida County are giving an update about their probe into that tragic fire in Rome earlier this week.

Investigators say the cause of a fire that killed three children is being considered an accident. But they're still not sure yet what started it.  

Crews were called to Pine Haven Circle in Rome late Monday night and arrived to find a home engulfed in flames.  Firefighters say three-year-old Patrick Croad, two-year-old Temprinceand four-year-old Eliesse were all found dead in the residence.  

Their parents and another child were taken to Upstate University Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
