Syracuse Man Gets A Ride, Then Threatens Driver And Steals Car

Syracuse, N.Y. - Saturday, around 11pm Syracuse Police responded to a robbery call where the victim reported he drove a male he knows as 28 year old  Ronmaine Fontaine, to the 400 block of North State Street.  The victim told police that when they arrived, Fontaine pulled out a knife and threatened him with it. The victim said he exited the vehicle and Fontaine drove away with the car.  The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.

Police tracked  down Fontaine and took him into custody without incident.  Fontaine was found to be in possession of a black handled knife at the time of his arrest.

Fontaine was charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.
