Syracuse Nationals And Street Racing Prompt Police To Prepare

In response to an influx of traffic-related concerns and complaints and the arrival of the Syracuse Nationals, Syracuse Police will concentrate enforcement of traffic violations within the Erie Blvd corridor this weekend. Syracuse Police will be fielding additional units to address an increase in speeding, loud vehicles, and “street racing” complaints which have recently been received through multiple sources. Citizens have come forward in the form of calls and emails to the PSB Front Desk, the Chief’s Office, the Mayor’s Office and the Traffic Section.
