"Sex And The City" Star Submits 65,000 Signatures

Cynthia Nixon is one step closer to getting on the New York Democratic Primary ballot to challenge Governor Andrew Cuomo.  The former "Sex and the City" star says she submitted 65,000 petition signatures ahead of Thursday's deadline.  All you need is 15,000 signatures, but they'll have to be verified because the law says they must come from registered New York Democrats.  She credits more than 3,500 volunteers, some of whom also worked for progressive newcomer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who defeated longtime Queens Congressman Joe Crowley in a major upset last month.  The Democratic primary is set for September 13th.
