Syracuse Man Arrested For Violent Rape

Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse Police have arrested a man following a violent rape of a woman last month. 

Syracuse Police Officers were called to a home on Turtle Street about 4:00 a.m. on June 28th after a woman called the police to say she had been raped. She told officers that she had been violently attacked and raped by a man for hours. She needed to be taken to the hospital to be treated for that violent attack. 

On Independence Day, the Syracuse S.W.A.T. Team was called in to arrest 28-year-old Christopher Hickey. He has been charged with several charges including rape, robbery, assault, strangulation, weapons possession, and unlawful imprisonment.
