Man Makes a Bomb Threat Against AXA Building In Syracuse

Thursday around  11:30 AM, Syracuse Police Officers responded to 100 Madison Street, AXA Tower 1, regarding  a  bomb threat.

An employee from the 4th floor received a phone call from a male indicating that he had placed a bomb in the building. The employee immediately called 911, and the building management cleared the building as a precaution.

The Syracuse Police Department K-9 Unit was assisted by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit in checking the building for any explosives.  There was nothing suspicious located inside the building and it was re-opened a short time later.

The investigation led Detectives to the Motel 6, on Baptist Way, in the Town of DeWitt, where they found 65 year old George H. Glahn. Police charged him with Falsely Reporting an Incident in the 1st degree.
