Oswego County will be holding a Nuclear Power plant siren test.
The test will take place around 1pm Tuesday June 5th. It involves 40 sirens within a 10 mile radius of the Fitzpatrick Nuclear plant and the Nine Mile Point Nuclear station.
The sirens will sound for around 3 minutes but may go as long as 5. This is just a test so the public does not need to do anything. If it was an actual emergency you are advised to tune into your local Emergency Alert System, radio or television station.
