Oklahoma Woman Killed by Pack of 7 Small Dogs

Authorities in Oklahoma are blaming the mauling death of a 52-year-old woman on a pack of seven small dogs, most of them a dachshund-terrier mix and say they're still investigating whether criminal charges need to be filed.

Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant told the AP that the seven small dogs belonging to the victim's neighbor was responsible for killing Tracy Garcia near her home outside Ardmore, about 90 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Police had to shoot one of the dogs after it charged a Carter County deputy according to KFOR

“Unfortunately, yes. We had to shoot one dog,” Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant said “It did charge our deputies and to protect our deputies, as well as the medical personnel, we did have to put down a dog.”

The other six dogs were taken to a shelter where they were euthanized at the owner's request.

Each dog weighed less than 40 pounds and were mostly mixed breeds between a dachshund and terrier, while the seventh appeared to be a border collie mix.
