Special Prosecutor Named To Investigate Schneiderman Allegations

Albany, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo has named a Special Prosecutor from Long Island to investigate alleged abuse by former-Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Cuomo is appointing Nassau District Attorney Madeline Singas as special prosecutor  and special deputy attorney general to investigate abuse allegations made against Former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Four women have come forward telling "The New Yorker" that Schneiderman was physically abusive towards them.

Cuomo says Singas will work with Suffolk DA Tim Sini to investigate an incident in the Hamptons in which Schneiderman was allegedly physically abusive against a woman in 2016.
