911 received a call late Tuesday night of people with guns occupying a red van on First North Street.
When police arrived they noticed a van in a parking lot. When the approached the van they saw a loaded Glock 19 9mm handgun on the ground by the drivers door. The gun had been reported stolen from the State of Georgia.
Inside the van were four individuals, Douglas Adu, 18, of Liverpool, NY, Eddie Green, 18, of Syracuse, NY, Ar’unique Haddon, 16, of Syracuse, NY, and Alexis King, 18, of Syracuse, NY. All four occupants were taken into custody without incident.
Police also found 22 grams of heroin with a street value of $5,640 which Green admitted was his. Adu was also found in possession of marijuana.
Adu, Green, Haddon and King were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree. Green was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third, Fourth and Seventh Degrees. Adu was further charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
