Last night around 5:45 Syracuse police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Valley Drive.
As police approached the vehicle the office observed the front seat passenger conceal something on his person. The front seat passenger was identified as 25 year old Willie McDonald of Syracuse. While speaking with McDonald the officer smelled the strong odor marijuana.
McDonald was found to be in possession of eight grams of cocaine, which he had concealed on his person. Eight grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $800.00. McDonald was also in possession of marijuana and three Clonazepam pills.
McDonald was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third, Fourth and Seventh Degrees and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
The driver of the vehicle issued Uniformed Traffic Tickets and was released from the scene.
