Todd Howe, the prosecution’s star witness against Joseph Percoco, was arrested last night, after admitting in court that he likely violated his cooperation deal with the Federal Government.
Under cross-examination Thursday Howe admitted that in October 2016, he asked his credit card company to refund $604 in charges at the Waldorf Astoria, suggesting he hadn’t stayed there. That was after signing an agreement with the Feds requiring him to avoid committing future crimes.
Under his deal, prosecutors agreed to seek leniency for Howe when he’s sentenced for eight felonies.
Howe's revelation came on the second day of his testifying in the Joe Percoco corruption trail. Howe claims he helped obtain $300,000 in bribes on behave of Percoco.
