New York - The star witness in the corruption trial of a top aid to Gov. Cuomo and a pair of Syracuse Developers is expected to shed light on the bribery scheme he hatched.
Lobbyist Todd Howe admitted to Federal prosecutors that he laundered money through a shell company from COR Development executives Steven Aiello and Joseph Girardi to a bank account shared by Joseph Percoco and his wife. He's admitted that the payments of $35,000 were for Percoco putting pressure on State Government officials so COR could skirt around using union workers at a hotel in Syracuse's Inner Harbor.
Prosecutors say that Howe's testimony is the linchpin that ties all of the evidence in their case together.
