Syracuse Used Car Salesman In Trouble With The Taxman

Syracuse, N.Y. - An owner of two Syracuse Used-Car lots is in trouble with the tax man.

State Taxation and Finance officials say that Samy Guindy owes the state more than $206,000 in sales tax. He's charged with 63-felonies including grand larceny and tax fraud. Tax officials say that at Auto Solutions of CNY Guindy under-reported sales made from December 2010 through August 2015.  At Auto Hunter Guindy worked a similar scheme from December 2010 through May 2017. 

Guindy could face a sentence of up to 15 years in prison if he's convicted.
