F-M Voters Approve $45M Capital Improvement Plan

Voters in the Fayetteville-Manlius school district gave their approval to the district's $45 million capital improvement project.

The project will invest most of the money, nearly $35 million, on Wellwood Middle School, to build an addition, convert a parking lot to an athletic field and make other improvements.  The rest of the budget is divided between Enders Road Elementary, F-M High School and a district-wide energy performance contract.  State aid will pay for about three-quarters of the work, and construction isn't expect to begin until June of 2019.  The vote was 1,108 in favor, with 848 opposed.
