Syracuse Police investigate stabbing, shooting cases on Saturday

Syracuse police are working on two attacks on Saturday, one stabbing and one shooting.

Officers found a 20-year-old woman with a stab wound at about 1 am Saturday on West Glen Avenue. She is hospitalized and is likely to survive her injuries.  She told officers she was stabbed during a fight with another female, but refused to provide more information.  Saturday evening around 10 pm, officers sent to the 400 block of Beech Street found a man with a gunshot wound in his chest and shoulder area.  He is hospitalized in serious but stable condition.  It's believed the shooting victim was sitting in a vehicle when he was shot.  Detectives are at work on both cases.
