Police in Vernon are investigating complaints of sewing needles found in candy that was given out on Halloween.Police are investigating the two incidents separately.
The first was actually broadcast as a Facebook video, with a mother opening a package of Twizzlers candy and finding what appears to be a sewing needle embedded with the candy. A second incident concerned a female who discovered a silver-colored sewing needle on the living room floor, beneath Halloween candy collected by her children. Police ask the public to carefully examine their Halloween candy, particularly if it came from the village of Vernon.
