Auburn police do not know as yet why a man found Sunday morning was dead iin the front yard of a home on North Fulton Street.
Officers were called to the location after the body had been found by a passerby. The investigation identified the man as Joshua Taro, who had injuries consistent with an assault. Further investigation found Taro had been in a fight earlier that morning near a tavern on Franklin Street. An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause and manner of death, but investigators now do not believe Taro's injuries resulted in his death.
