Syracuse police are looking for a suspect in a fatal shooting early Sunday on Butternut Street.
Officers were sent to the 800 block of Butternut where they found a large crowd in the area, along with 22-year-old John White of Syracuse. White was taken to Upstate Hospital with gunshot wounds but was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have no suspect information as of now, and are hoping anyone who know any details of this shooting will contact Syracuse Police via their "SPD Tips" smartphone app.
