Syracuse, N.Y. - The Republican in the race to be the next mayor of Syracuse says she will donate most of her $115,000 salary if she is elected.
Laura Lavine says that if she becomes the 54th Mayor of Syracuse she will only keep $30,000.
The move is similar to what she did as the Superintendent of the LaFayette school district. Lavine is a retired school administrator and earning more than $30,000 can negatively impact her Pension.
