A Mattydale man will spend 15 years in prison for possessing and distributing child pornography.
US attorneys say Steven Doty received the sentence from a federal Judge Tuesday in exchage for guilty pleas to distribution of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, and possession of child pornography. Doty admitted to using peer-to-peer software to distribute videos in 2015 and 2016. Doty also admitted to downloading a thousand images of child porn and 32 "hard core" videos. Upon Doty's release from prison, he will also spend 15 years in supervised release and be required to register as a sex offender.
