Oswego Police say a man is facing assault charges for beating a woman seriously enough to cause her life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded with firefighters on Sunday to an address on Fourth Street for a report of an unresponsive female. Officers determined the woman was a victim of assault, and she was taken to Upstate University Hospital. Shortly after, police arrested Jason Golas and charged him with second degree assault for beating the victim multiple times, causing injuries requiring hospitalization. Golas was remanded without bail and sent to the Oswego County Jail.
