Salina, N.Y. - The woman who was behind the wheel of a deadly crash in Salina recently started working for the Onondaga County DA's Office.

County records show Kaitlyn Guptill was hired as a criminal law associate less than one month before she was involved in a tragic accident that claimed the life of a woman visiting family from India.

Last Month Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies said Kaitlyn Guptill was driving on Hopkins Road in Salina when she struck a pedestrian walking toward her along the south shoulder.

Jasbir Chadha, of India, was killed in the crash.

Guptill is the second employee of the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office involved in a deadly crash this year.
