A tragic farm accident in Seneca County has claimed the life of an 8 year old boy.
Sheriffs Deputies were called to a farm in the Town of Varick Friday to a report that an 8 year old boy had been injured. They found Wilmer Zimmerman caught between a John Deere utility vehicle and a loaded hay wagon being operated by another 8 year old child.
He was unresponsive at the scene and he had to be airlifted to Upstate Hospital in Syracuse where he later died from his injuries. Deputies say their investigation of the incident is ongoing.
