A North Country man who was in a smartphone haze is nursing his wounds after getting hit by a car.
Watertown Police say a 26 year old man who's head was buried in his cell phone attempted to cross a busy street and was not even aware of his surroundings. He walked out into traffic and was struck by a car and knocked unconscious.
City police say they also believe the man was intoxicated to boot. He was rushed to a local hospital and is expected to survive. The driver of the car was not ticketed.
