A man accused of killing a Central New York native in California is dead. Last month Philip Jacobs was arrested for allegedly murdering Bishop Ludden graduate Bridget Jacobs, formerly known as Bridget Roche.
Police officers in California say Jacobs killed himself in his jail cell on Wednesday. Investigators say Jacobs suffered years of abuse living with her husband and her body was pulled from a local lake recently The autopsy results aren't in but the DA says the charges against Philip Jacobs will be dismissed since he's dead.
