Liverpool Man Drives Truck Into Salina Creek

The Liverpool Fire department had to make a tricky rescue this morning after the driver of a pickup truck ended up in a Salina creek. 

20 year old Nathaniel Smith of Liverpool lost consciousness after the hitting the water and the fire department had to get him out. Rescue crews at the scene had to utilize wet suits to enter four feet of water in order to get the driver out. Smith was rushed to a Syracuse hospital for treatment .

 Police say he had a suspended license and may have fallen asleep behind the wheel but he was wearing a seat belt.
