Liverpool, N.Y. – Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a Liverpool man after they say he jumped into a woman’s car and tried to rob her.
Sheriff’s Deputies say the woman was sitting at a red light in Clay when 26-year-old Joshua Werchinski walked up and jumped into her car. Cops then say Werchinski threatened to harm the woman if she did not give him her purse.
Werchinski grabbed the purse and fled on foot, but cops say they apprehended him a short time later in the Bayberry neighborhood.
Werchinski is now being held on $10,000 bail on a robbery charge.
