Governor Cuomo Says Get A Shot, Get A 2 Day Pass To A State Park

Jones Beach, N.Y. - Governor Cuomo speaking from Jones Beach today announcing another incentive for people to get vaccinated.

Cuomo said the state is offering a 2-day free pass for all 16 state parks statewide for those that get vaccinated. This is an additional incentive to what the state is already doing. Effective today for a week, anyone over 18 who gets the shot at state-run sites will receive a scratch-off ticket, which could be worth anywhere between 20 bucks to five million dollars. The promotion runs through Friday.

The governor also said, if you get a vaccine at a state park on Memorial Day weekend you get a free park pass.

Cuomo also announced today that the state positivity rate stands at 1.09%. He said new cases are the lowest since October 18th, all other numbers lowest since early November. He also said there were just 14 COVID deaths in the entire state.
