County Executive Ryan McMahon Warns Of Increase In Covid Cases

Syracuse,N.Y. - After a record high 70 new coronavirus cases yesterday,Onondaga County Executive Ryan announced another 50 today. And he warned theta the preliminary data already shows a new record high number of new cases to be set Friday.

Of the 50 new cases, 31 were from community spread.

McMahon fell short of calling this a second wave of COVID-19, but said that could happen, if people dont begin to change their behaviors.

He also had a word of caution for restaurants and bars. Follow the COVID rule or else. He said enforcement will be strong this Halloween weekend and that there will be no warnings...instead there will be fines.

McMahon said there were no new deaths to report.
