Governor Cuomo reminds businesses that the new measure requires certain service providers to provide price lists for standard services upon request and that gender-based price discrimination is prohibited.
Numerous studies have found that women pay more for the female version of the same product than men. The new law prohhibits retailers, suppliers, manufacturers or distributors, from charging different prices based on gender.
