SUNY Cortland Extending Bans On Sporting Events Due To COVID-19

SUNY Cortland officials are taking additional measures as coronavirus case numbers continue to rise.

As of late last week, there were 34 confirmed infections at the school. A ban previously in place involving sporting events is being extended while fraternities and sororities are being told they can't host parties. The school is hoping to be able to screen one-thousand students a week. They will also increase wastewater testing in an effort to keep the virus from spreading.
