Fire crews were on the scene of a blaze in Syracuse's Eastwood neighborhood.
The fire started just before 6 yesterday evening. A bystander noticed smoke coming from the roof and alerted one person inside the home. The fire quickly spread through the home's attic and the resident was able to escape unharmed. The Red Cross is helping the two families that live at the residence.
