Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon is still confident that CNY will have the testing numbers necessary to begin the Governor's reopening plan.
McMahon stressed that the testing numbers encompass all of CNY, and not just Onondaga County.
Earlier this week, McMahon said the county would be offering universal testing at the Syracuse Community Health Center for anyone who wants to get a diagnostic test, regardless of symptoms. Since opening yesterday, significant traffic delays were reported at the site.
Phase 1 of the Governor's plan will see the reopening of manufacturing, construction, and certain retail businesses. CNY has been rallying the public to get themselves tested in order to reopen those industries as soon as Friday.
