Microsoft Coming To Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. - The software giant Microsoft plans to set up shop right here in Syracuse.

According to Mayor Ben Walsh, Microsoft will establish a “Smart Cities Technology” hub as part of Walsh’s Syracuse Surge plan to bolster the local economy with high-tech jobs.

Microsoft has announced similar hubs, in Louisville, Kentucky and Houston, Texas.

No word on where the physical location will be, but its speculated to be on the south end of downtown. Microsoft will staff the hub with its employees but city officials weren’t sure how many.
