Foul! Clock Run-off Dashes SU Rally Against NC State

Syracuse remains winless against Power 5 competition following their 16 to 10 loss to NC State.

The Wolfpack's only touchdown came on a well executed passing play.

"The tick play was a good call," says SU head Football Coach Dino Babers. "Had we been in zone it wouldn't have been a play, but we were in man-to-man so they caught us. It happens."

The defense did keep the game close, otherwise buckling down in the Red Zone forcing three field goals.

Syracuse's offense came back from a scoreless first half poised to make a game winning drive against NC State.

A clock run-off ended the game after what looked to 'Cuse fans through their Orange colored glasses as an obvious jump offsides by a Wolfpack lineman. Instead the call went against the Orange for a false start.

Had SU had a chance, it would have been for a Hail Mary shot into the endzone.

Despite the offensive struggles QB Tommy DeVito threw for a little under 75-percent on 39 attempts for 300 years.
