Onondaga County Being Sued For Trying To Seize Tax Deliquent Property

Syracuse, N.Y. - As the county is trying to get Shoppingtown Mall to pay up...they now have another issue.

Onondaga County Executive Ryan MacMahon had started a list of properties to seize for non payment of taxes as part of his new initiative. One of the first properties on that list was 56 Indutrial Drive In Solvay. Its an 11 acre property,

Well the owners of the property DMI Acquisitions has just sued Onondaga County to stop them from taking their Geddes industrial site, the former Suez Energy plant.

McMahon create a new borad called the Onondaga County Accountability and Reinvestment Corp to seize parcels that are at least three years behind on tax payments.
