North Syracuse Police Bust Store Owner After Neighborhood Complaints

North Syracuse, N.Y. - North Syracuse police executed a warrant yesterday at the South Main Street Mini Mart and Smoke Shop after neighbors complained that employees were dealing drugs.

The neighbors were right.

Police found 84 vials of THC oil, CBD edibles, pot , numerous cartons of untaxed cigarettes along with several thousand dollars.

22 year old Abdulmalek Nagi, of North Syracuse was arrested, and faces the following charges.

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree, a class D Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, s class A Misdemeanor
  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th degree, class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Unstamped (tax) cigarettes for purpose of sale.

North Syracuse Police, DEA Agents and New York State Taxation and Finance CID officers are continuing their investigation into this complaint.
