County To Help Build Houses For Homeless Vets

Syracuse, N.Y. - There will be seven new tiny homes going up in the Syracuse area.

Its all part of a project spearheaded by a non profit group called A Tiny Home For Good. Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon announced a grant of 235,000 dollars to help build the homes.

The county is using extra state Medicaid funding left over from last year.

Two will be on the South Side, three in the North Side; and two near the Lakefront. The homes are rented to veterans who are at risk of homelessness.
