Oneida Sheriff's Seeking Help In Hit 'N Run

Town of Vernon - Oneida County Sheriff's are looking for a hit-n-run suspect.

Around 1 o'clock this morning they responded to State Route 26 and the intersection of Cooper Street.

Investigation discovered that the vehicle was traveling south on State Route 26 when it crossed over into the north bound lane and struck a tree, a utility pole support wire, and then came to rest after striking a house. The vehicle then fled the scene south on State Route 26.

Deputies believe the suspect vehicle to be a 2003-2007 Chevy Silverado 2500, possibly tan in color. The vehicle is missing the lower front center bumper and both fog lights. The vehicle is also missing part of the driver side head light and driver side mirror.
