Teen Girl Arrested For Shooting At Another Teen In Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. - A 16-year-old girl has been arrested for shooting another teenager in broad daylight.

Officers aren't naming the girl, but say that she shot a handgun several times at an 18-year-old man near the intersection of West Florence Ave and South Salina Streets around 11:00 a.m. Sunday.  Fortunately, the boy, or anybody else nearby, was not hit by the gunfire. 

Witnesses described the girl, and police found her nearby and arrested her. They also found her with the gun she'd used in the shooting.  

Investigators also figured out that the handgun used hand been stolen from a home Saturday night.

She's now at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.
