Syracuse Police Respond To Early Morning Home Invasion

Syracuse, N.Y. - Scarey moments this morning for some Syracuse residents after an home invasion.

Around 4am police responded to a burglary call at a residence in the 500 block of Gifford Street. When they arrived they found the occupants detaining 32 year old Shannon Kinzie on the second floor of their house.  Kinzie had forced opened the side door of the home. The victims woke up and detained her. She broke a window,  bed frame and cell phone before police arrived. Police also found  Kinzie in posssesion of cocaine on at the time of arrest.

She is facing Burglary in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. 

She was taken to the Onondaga County jail.
