Syracuse Woman Arrested For Pepper Spraying and Stabbing Another Woman

Syracuse, N.Y. - Sunday, September 23, around 10pm, Syracuse Police were sent to the 200 block of Shonnard Street, regarding a stabbing. 

There they found a 50 year old female, who was bleeding from her right arm. 

The victim told police she had been attacked by Melissa Rodriguez, 28, of Syracuse. The victim said Rodriguez pepper sprayed her and then stabbed her in the arm. 

The victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. 

Rodriguez was still on scene when police arrived.  She was taken into custody without incident. She was arrested and charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Unlawful Possession of Noxious Materials.
