Hilton Has Edge Over Sullivan In Oswego County Sheriff Race

Oswego, N.Y. - We may already know who the next Sheriff of Oswego County will be.

Long-time Syracuse Police Officer, and current Onondaga County DA's Office investigator, Don Hilton has an edge over Oswego County Undersheriff Gene Sullivan to be the Republican Party candidate for Sheriff.  Hilton leads the Republican primary with 51.6 percent of the vote with 3,820 votes. Sullivan received 3,571 votes.

Hilton won the Conservative primary.

Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd announced earlier this year that he was retiring.  Democrats were unable to field a candidate.
