National Grid Prepares For High Heat, Thunderstorms

Hot weather today and possible thunderstorms could both have an impact on staying cool today.

National Grid says that while they have adequate supplies of energy, it's always wise for customers to be mindful of the demands put on the electric grid.

National Grid suggests customers lower their shades so less heat from the sun can enter the home, and to set thermostats to higher temperature if possible.  The utility also says that thunderstorms could create outages from downed power lines and poles.  They ask customers to be prepared to report any outages that might occur during a thunderstorm.  That number is 1-(800)-867-5222
