NY Legislature Bans Minors From Tanning

It's lights out for New York teenagers who use commercial tanning booths to get ready for the prom or beach season.  State lawmakers passed a bill on Tuesday prohibiting anyone under 18-years-old from using tanning booths or beds, requiring salons to ask for a customer's ID.  The American Cancer Society pushed for the measure, saying the younger a person is when exposed to ultraviolet rays, the greater the risk for skin cancer.  The bill now goes to Governor Cuomo for his approval or veto.
