Arrest Made In Oberst Street Murder Investigation

Monday around 9;30 in the morning Syracuse Police responded to the 100 block of Oberst Street in regards to dead body found behind a vacant building. 

Later the body was identified as 37 year old Charles Nichols, who had suffered a gun shot wound to his chest. cant house.  

After an investigation, Detectives have arrested   35 year old Vladimir E. Brown of Syracuse N.Y., with Murder in the 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree. 

Police Chief Frank Fowler credits the public's help with enabling the police to apprehend Brown and said the investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible.
